The public association “Filocalia” provided assistance to 300 children form socially underprivileged families from Chisinau and a number of villages at the start of the new school year, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the organization. Between August 15 and September 5, 2011, “Filocalia” carried out a campaign to raise funds for children of school age themed “Help make the bell ring for every child”. There was collected a sum of 8 397 lei as well as school supplies and aid to the value of about 14,000 lei. The assistance was offered to students from families facing serious social and financial difficulties from the districts of Dubasari, Drochia, Ialoveni, Nisporeni, Straseni, Ocnita, Soroca, Causeni, Stefan-Voda, and Hancesti.
