Assistance center for elderly persons and children opened in Stefan-Voda district

A community center of social assistance for the elderly and children from vulnerable families was inaugurated in Talmaza village of Stefan-Voda district, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a communiqué, the Ministry of Social Protection, Family and Child say that the center will provide services for 40 persons a month. They will be temporarily accommodated at the center, will benefit from counseling services and occupational therapy and will eat at the social canteen. Lunches will be taken home to another 20 persons. The center was built at a cost of 1.047 million lei. The district council contributed 220,000 lei. Angela Chirilov, head of the Ministry’s Social Assistance Division, said that the center is the 175th institution of the kind opened in Moldova. The community center in Talmaza and the five centers opened in Stefan –Voda district last year were set up through Moldova’s Social Investment Fund
