Aseptic Surgery Division of “Saint Michael” Hospital reopened after renovation

The Aseptic Surgery Division of the Chisinau Hospital “Saint Michael” was reopened after renovation. The surgical wards and rooms were repaired and now meet the European standards, according to representatives of the hospital.

Galina Alcaz-Jalencu, head of the hospital’s press service, has told IPN that the repair works had been carried out during the last six months. The renovation works cost over 2 million lei. The money was provided from the municipal fund. “Now the hospital conditions for the patients meet all the European norms,” she stated.

According to Galina Alcaz-Jalencu, the repair works consisted in the replacement of windows and floor, renovation of the sanitary facilities and outfling of the rooms with new furniture.

The Clinical Municipal Hospital “Saint Archangel Michael” continues to be renovated. The gastroenterology and pulmonary wards were repaired earlier. The hospital intends to join the European Union of Private Hospitals. For the purpose, in 2017 it will be visited by European experts who will assess the living and treatment conditions in the hospital.

The Aseptic Surgery Division has 45 beds and accommodates annually over 1,000 patients.
