Romanian company Ascendis, which provides training and consultancy services in the field of professional development, will open its first branch abroad in the capital of Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports. Ascendis founder Constantin Dumitrescu declared at a press conference in Chisinau that the Moldovan business world was continuously growing. “More and more companies are founded or in development, either local businesses or branches of multinational companies. The transition process isn’t easy and the need of professional training and development is high on any manager’s list of priorities. In these conditions, the experience and expertise Ascendis brings on the Moldovan market can be a great advantage for our clients”, declared the company founder. Radu Apostol, Ascendis partner, said that over the last 6 years the company had developed a series of project in Chisinau together with partners from Romania. “We still have 3 ongoing projects. Just like on the Romanian market, we set ourselves to create new programs or to adapt the current ones to the local necessities and specifics”, said Radu Apostol. The Ascendis Moldova team will be formed of both local and Romanian experts, all with at least 10 years of experience in business. The company already has three trainers from Moldova and plans to hire three more by the end of the year. For its first year of activity in Moldova, Ascendis targets a turnover of €500,000 and 20 clients on the local market. Ascendis plans a series of courses for all those wishing to attend. The company will also launch a webpage and the counselors will start a campaign for informing potential clients. Ascendis was founded in 1997 and is known as the largest training and counseling company in the field of organizational development in Romania, boasting a team of 35 counsels and facilitators and with a portfolio of over 140 constant customers. It has an annual turnover of €4 million.
