The Party of Socialists’ candidate for mayor of Chisinau Zinaida Grecheanyi said she will ensure transparency at the Chisinau City Hall and will eliminate corruption. The candidate presented her government program in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau given that her opponent Dorin Chirtoaca, current mayor general, didn’t come to the debates to which Grecheanyi invited him, IPN reports.
Zinaida Grecheanyi stated that she has the largest team of councilors in Chisinau, who are persons with integrity and who do not need to use the Chisinau City Hall as a launch pad for entering politics. She aims to solve the problems faced in the transport sector and to prevent the defective management of the public property and the municipal budget.
Over the next four years, the candidate intends to transparently employ persons at all the divisions of the City Hall, to provide concessions to the national producers and suppliers of services and efficient public utilities without intermediaries and to create new jobs and enough places at nurseries and schools.
Zinaida Grecheanyi also aims to attract investments for building a waste processing plant, to cooperate with the academic community and civil society and to set up consultative councils consisting of civil society members under the municipal councilors and the mayor.
The candidate will efficiently cooperate with all the suburban settlements, saying a correct development plan was worked out for each of these settlements and the cooperation will not be based on the political affiliation of their mayors.
