The artworks of Moldovan and migrant artists were awarded at a ceremony organized by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in the Republic of Moldova. This initiative was part of the celebrations marking International Migrants Day 2024. Ester Ruiz de Azua, the Chief of Mission of IOM Moldova, said that the talent of young Moldovan and migrant artists was celebrated at the event, IPN reports.
December last year, IOM Moldova partnered with the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts to engage young Moldovan and migrant artists to express their perspectives on migration and to bring to life the theme “Every Step” through different artistic methods. The successful exhibition allowed all participants to witness the artistic commitment and exceptional talent of young artists, says a press release issued by IOM Moldova.
The Award Committee evaluated 35 artworks and identified three winners: Anastasia Radoutska, from Ukraine, category painting with “Changing Times”; Alisa Lungul, from Moldova, category graphics/watercolor with “Searching the star”; Daniela Ezbiceac, from Moldova category ceramics, with “Hope”.
The students’ artwork will be promoted across IOM Moldova's social media pages.
