The independent candidate for MP in uninominal constituency No. 24 Chisinau, Artur Croitor, said that if he enters Parliament he will propose a lustration law to clear the country of thieves and to build a new and developed state. In a news conference at IPN, where he presented his electoral program, Artur Croitor said the lustration law will enable to identify all those who committed serious crimes against the people of Moldova and to hold them accountable.
The candidate is convinced that through the lustration law, the stolen and hidden assets will be found and confiscated. This will be possible with a new prosecutor general and a new composition of the Prosecutor General’s Office. The lustration law will cover those involved in the banking fraud, those who provided dubious loans that weren’t repaid and those who signed suspect contracts contrary to the interests of the Moldovan citizens.
Artur Croitor said he will plead for amending the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova as many of the provisions of the supreme law need to be updated. In this regard, he will propose creating a special commission in Parliament. Changes should be made as regards the judicial power, the executive power and the powers of the Parliament and the local public authorities.
Referring to other provisions of his electoral program, Artur Croitor mentioned the economic development and society consolidation measures. He said he knows the problems faced by the voters in the constituency where he runs and calls on them to give him the chance to become involved in their solving. The candidate aims to reform the police and the public transport. He pleads for launching a trolleybus line on Cuza-Vodă Blvd so as to increase access to public transport in the area.
Artur Croitor noted that if he becomes MP, he will be free to take decisions and will form a ‘coalition’ only with the voters for whom he will open an office in the district where he will have meetings with them as often as possible.
Artur Croitor called on the electors to vote him and said he is the only independent candidate in the constituency where he runs. His electoral program is entitled “Moldova, a vision for the future”.
