Artists from over 10 states confirmed that they will be taking part in the third International Chamber Theater and Small-Scale Productions Festival “Moldfest.Rampa.Ru”. The event will be opened at the National Philharmonic in Chisinau on November 22 and will last for a week, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a news conference on November 15, the festival’s director, stage manager of the Rose Street Theater Iuri Harmelin said the event becomes more and more popular. The organizers expect that the theater halls will be besieged, as at the previous festivals. The organizers cover only the accommodation costs for the invited artists and the costs of excursions, while the travel expenses are paid by the participants. Despite this the number of applications for participation is increasing. About 60 applications have been submitted this year, said Iuri Harmelin. Troops from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Belgium, Poland, Albania, Georgia, Israel, Lithuania, Luxemburg and other countries are expected to come to Chisinau. Moldova will be represented by the Rose Street Theater, the Russian Theater “A.Cehov” and by the invitees from Tiraspol – the State Drama and Comedy Theater “Nadejda Aronetskaya”. Besides presenting plays, the artists will take part in different activities, including art clubs, debates, and performance demonstrations. The third International Chamber Theater and Small-Scale Productions Festival “Moldfest.Rampa.Ru” will close on November 29. The event is organized by the Rose Street Theater with support from the Russian Embassy in Moldova and the Foundation “Russkii Mir”.
