Artists and craftspeople from Romania and Moldova to take part in “Diplomatic Bazaar” in Brussels

The first edition of the ”Diplomatic Bazaar”, which is organized under the aegis of the Embassies of Romania and the Republic of Moldova in Belgium, will take place in Brussels during May 13-15, 2023, IPN reports.

The event will bring together artists, creators and crafts workers from Romania and the Republic of Moldova, who promote the  ”slow movement” concept, in the Marble Hall of the Free University of Brussels. They will present unique, personalized products made in accordance with the principle of respect for the environment, natural circles, biodiversity and authenticity. This way, they aim to promote recognized brand names and products made by hand or semi-industrial products that are identified with the ingeniousness of Moldovan and Romanian engineers and inventors.

The “Diplomatic Bazaar” will also involve artists from the fields of music, plastic arts, philosophy, and literature. Each of these will present their choices for integrating into a natural pace that would meet the time of creation, would emphasize the quality of raw material and finished products.

The official opening of the of the ”Diplomatic Bazaar” will be held at the Free University of Brussels on May 13, at 2pm, and will be attended by the ambassadors of Romania and the Republic of Moldova, other ambassadors and diplomats accredited to the Kingdom of Belgium, representatives of European institutions based in Brussels, businesspeople, devotees of the ”slow movement” concept. The fair will be open to representatives of the community from Romania and the Republic of Moldova and to the general Belgian public between 10am and 7pm.
