Artistic manager of National Theatre considers the theatrical season 2005-2006 as „stressing”

The artistic manager of the National Theatre “Mihai Eminescu”, Vitalie Rusu, considers the theatrical season 2005-2006 as stressing, with many unfinished projects. Rusu stated on Tuesday, June 20, at a press conference, that the season, to end on June 25, did not honor the planned agenda and did not contribute to the professional promotion of those over 50 actors of the theatre. More, the artistic manager considers the play „Henry the IV-th”, by Luigi Pirandello, directed by Andrea Battistini (Italy), as a total fiasco. “I have trusted this extraordinary play, the invited director, but I made a mistake,” Vitalie Rusu confessed. According to the artistic manager, those 4 plays that were performed are not sufficient to consider as „prodigious” the activity of a theatre as „M. Eminescu”. „The bad luck of the National Theatre in this year’s theatrical season was the fact that many invited directors did not accept the offers on the ground that the given money is too little”, Vitalie Rusu mentioned. The theatrical season 2005-2006 of the National Theatre “Mihai Eminescu” is closing in the evenings of June 24 and 25 with the play “Doctorul fara voie” by Moliere, directed by Sandu Cozub. The actors Nicolae Darie, Angela Ciobanu, Ghenadie Galca, Margareta Pantea, Ion Mocanu, etc. are performing the play.
