Artist and band to represent Moldova at Golden Stag Festival

Moldova will be represented at the Golden Stag Festival by the singer Alexa and the band “Millennium”, as Olia Tira, Oxana Baciu and Edict failed to get the necessary points in pre-selections, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the web side of the Romanian Public TV Station TVR, 27 foreign artists will fight for the Grand Prix to be joined by 3 Romanian singers. To reach the finals, the three ones have to pass the semi-finals of the contest, to take place on 20, 27 July and 3 August 2008. 21 Romanian singers will compete to get the three positions.
TVR's management established that the winner of the Golden Stag Trophy will get 10,000 euros, the winner of the second position – 7,000 euros and 5,000 euros will be awarded for the third place.
The following singers are among the invited foreign participants: Nity from France, Alexander Prosek from Germany, Alexandra & Constantin from Belarus, Biondo and Josefin from Sweden, Biu-Cuba, Chen Luhong and En Yang from China, Crash! from Norway, Deniz from Turkey. Rusia will be represented by Lena Grach anmd Victoria Linskaya, Indonesia by Dewi Marpaung, Italia by Krikka Reggae, Slovenia by Maya, San Marino by Miodio, Mudmen will represent Canada, Nevena - Bulgaria, Nicolas Cantoro - Argentina , Nicole Jane - UK, Priscilla- Malta, Sabine Berezina – Latvia, Sarah Reeve - Australia, Sofia- Greece, Tami & Nir -- Israel.
The Golden Stag Festival will take place from 3 to 7 September in Brasov, Romania, as it turns 40 this year.
