An art exhibition by painter Anatol Danilishin has been unveiled at the Chisinau City Hall on Thursday, Info-Prim Neo reports. None of the paintings on display bear a name. “This is exactly because a viewer shouldn't be confined within the ideas of the author... It's a sort of autonomy of the artwork from its creator. However, every painting here represents me, because I pass these images through my spirit before putting them on canvas”, explained Danilishin. According to him, the painters in their capacity of ambassadors of visual art have the mission to export the values of the national culture throughout the world, where their country is less known or not known at all. At the launch of the exhibition, Danilishin expressed his esteem for the younger painters. “We are a blessed country as the younger generations are rich in valuable artists with a bold style”, said Danilishin. According to art critic Tudor Braga, Danilishin paints in a strongly realistic manner, even his most abstract pieces. “Anatol Danilishin has had the courage to impose a new artistic language. He is part of the generation purified from the patterns of the old Socialist realism. In his art one can find everything from Constructivism to Kandinsky, to pure abstraction”, added writer Ion Hadarca. The exhibition displayed on the walls of the hallway of the Chisinau City Hall includes 33 pieces and will run during one month. The price of the paintings range from 150 to 600 euros. In the next period Danilishin will work intensely to prepare an anniversary exhibition to celebrate his 30-year career as an artist. Anatol Danilishin made his debut in 1998, and ever since has been an active exhibitor in Moldova as well as abroad. His paintings have been displayed at over 30 exhibitions in the US, France, Austria, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Belgium, Finland.
