Children older than five and young people up to the age of 21 can enroll at music, theater, sports, ecology, technical-scientific creation, personal development, plastic arts and dancing classes at the National Center for Children and Youth “Artico”, IPN reports.
This year’s novelty is the After School project that is intended for first-fourth graders. After lessons, the children will be transported from school to “Artico” where they will have lunch and will be engaged in development activities. Fees vary between 999 and 1 999 lei, depending on the selected services.
The Center’s vice director Elena Munteanu has told IPN that the training within all the classes at “Artico” is free of charge. The parents pay only for costumes, supplies, decorations and other things that are not related to the teaching process. The After School project involves additional services, including meals and transportation, which are provided for money.
Enrolment at the classes of “Artico” Center started on August 23 and will end on September 23. The applicants take an aptitude test. Currently, the Center is attended by about 3,000 children and young people. The classes and training sessions are held mainly in the second half of the day.
