Arriverderci brings another award to Vladimir Jereghi and Moldova

The applauded movie Arrivederci, directed by Valeriu Jereghi, won the special jury award at the Algidus Art Film Festival in Rome, Italy, making it the 12th international award won by the film. The film was selected for two international festivals at the same time. “I’m honored that in the same country- Italy, on the same day- June 23, two festivals opened with Arriverderci- Algidus Art Film Festival and Identita Film Festival”, Valeriu Jereghi told Info-Prim Neo from Rome. The director transmitted the message of the Algidus director, Gennaro Duccilli, directors, actor and critic, who said that Arrivederci was a film of great value, with a profound and well-defined metaphor. According to Duccilli, Valeriu Jereghi knew how to present the drama of those deprived of childhood in prosaic, yet subtle and sensitive tones, full of poetry and hope. Arriverderci makes you touch the reality behind the screen as the images eliminate distance and cultural differences. The Moldovan film Arrivederci won numerous awards at international film and TV festivals, including three at the Erasmus EuroMedia Contest, offered by the European Society for Education and Communication, the Grand Prix of the Eurasian Teleforum in Moscow, three awards at the Berdeansk International Film Festival in Ukraine. The list is completed by the Absolute Award for media features of the prestigious Salerno Festival, one of the oldest in Italy, the Best Direction Award at the International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival in Kharkov, Stupeni 2009, and the Grand Prix of the Patriotic Film Festival Kinotur in Jitomir, dedicated to the 115th birth anniversary of Alexandr Dovjenko.
