The national football team of Moldova is close to signing another highly-rated player. This is Argentinean halfback Nicolas Gorobsov, of Poli Timisoara, IPN reports.
“I have spoken with somebody from the Federation and informed them that I want to play for Moldova. We now must discuss the legalization of documents,” the 24-year-old player stated for a TV channel.
Nicolas Gorobsov has his origins in Bessarabia. His great-grandfather was born in Chisinau. In the last stage in Romania, he scored a superb goal for Poli Timisoara in the 1-2 defeat suffered to Concordia. In his career, Gorobsov played for a number of Italian teams and was only once present in Series A, with Cesena.
This year the national team has been also joined by the naturalized Brazilian Henrique Luvannor. The current sop scorer of the championship is married to a Moldovan woman. The next match of the national team, against Andorra, takes place on March 5, 2014.
