Are there understandings between PDM and PCRM?
Political analyst and Communist Chisinau councilor Victor Gurau said there are no agreements between the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) and the Communist Party of Moldova (PCRM). Other participants in Publika TV’s program “Fabrika” asserted such understandings exist, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“There were mythologies about watermelons and we ate watermelons throughout summer. Now we witness another performance, about possible agreements between the PDM and PCRM. There are no such agreements and negotiations. If an alliance had been made by the PCRM and PDM, Vlad Plahotniuc wouldn’t have held the post he occupies now. But there are no impediments hindering the formation of such an alliance,” said Victor Gurau.
Political analyst Bogdan Tardea considers the Communists and the Democrats reached secret agreements, while analyst Igor Botan said the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM) may change its tactics. “The three parties of the ruling alliance began to argue and now see no way out of the situation,” said Igor Botan.
According to political analyst Oazu Nantoi, when Vlad Filat said what he will do if Marian Lupu does not initiate the procedure for dismissing Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubko, he counted on the PCRM’s support. “The recent statements made by the Premier show that he got rid of the illusions about a possible alliance with the PCRM. The Communists will do everything possible to discredit the alliance and cause early parliamentary elections,” he said.
The Liberal-Democratic leader Vlad Filat, after a meeting of the party’s active members in the evening of October 31, said the PLDM remains part of the ruling alliance, but will continue to demand that Valeriu Zubko be discharged. He said the Liberal-Democrat MPs are ready to renounce their parliamentary immunity for this to happen.
