Archaeological research at Moara Rosie uncovers important remains

Preventive archaeological research at the local architectural monument "Moara Rosie" has been completed. The municipality announces that the excavations have revealed important remains, including foundations, decorations, and earlier structures, which will influence how future restoration efforts are carried out, IPN reports.

"These works represent an important step in the process of restoring Chisinau's historical heritage, contributing to its preservation and protection for future generations," states the Chisinau City Hall.

In addition to their historical and aesthetic value, these findings allow for the integration of the discovered elements into the restoration project, using compatible solutions that maintain a balance between tradition and modern technologies.

The preventive archaeological research is an integral part of the Interreg "NONA" project, managed by the General Directorate for Architecture, Urban Planning, and Land Relations, in collaboration with the "Ion Creanga" State Pedagogical University and the National Archaeological Agency.
