Poet Arcadie Suceveanu issued a new volume for children. The book titled “Greierul care s-cri-cri-e” (“Writing cricket”) contains about 40 poems and different illustrations. The launch at the children’s library “Ion Creanga” was attended by dozens of children, Info-Prim Neo reports. The poems are about the New Year, Easter, mothers and teachers. Arcadie Suceveanu said that this volume shows the sentimental treasures of the Romanian language and the world in which we live and that he wrote this book with inspiration and from inspiration. “I imagined that the cricket, which came at night and sang near my window, moved to live in my computer and from there dictated the poems I wanted to write. This nice cooperation resulted in a book,” said Arcadie Suceveanu. Attending the event, poet Vasile Romanciuc said that he likes Suceveanu’s poems very much and that he feels a child when he reads them. The book was illustrated by Olga Cazacui. Each page is of a certain color. The book was printed at the publishing house Prut International in 3,000 copies. Arcadie Suceveanu published over 20 poetry and prose books for children. His first children’s book appeared in 1983.
