Applications to be allowed to vote at home will be filed two weeks before referendum
The Central Election Commission (CEC) approved the mobile voting procedure for the September 5 constitutional referendum. If the voters will not be able to go to the polling place for health or other reasons, they will be able to vote at home or at the place where they will be on the day of the referendum, Info-Prim Neo reports
The applications will be submitted to the electoral office of the polling place where the voter is registered from August 22 until September 4, by 6pm. On the referendum day, the applications can be filed by in written form by 3pm and must be accompanied by a health certificate.
The applications must be lodged by the voters themselves. The person who is unable to file the application independently for health or other reasons can submit the application through the agency of a family member or can ask the social worker from the mayor’s office to do it.
