The socially deprived groups of people from the municipality of Chisinau that benefit from social assistance are invited to file applications to receive free converters that are needed for switching over to digital terrestrial television by March 20, IPN reports.
According to the Chisinau City Hall, the applications in written form can be submitted to the community social assistant at the place of residence. The applications must include own responsibility statements showing that their families earlier didn’t ask for a converter for digital terrestrial television free of charge. The family that benefits from social assistance can get an analog-to-digital converter only once, no matter which member of the family filed the application.
The converters will be distributed by the business entity that won the contest within two months of the signing of the procurement agreement.
Other socially underprivileged groups will be provided with converters within the limits of the remaining supply.
