Applications for reassessing old-age pension accepted as of January 1

Starting with January 1, 2019, the persons who retired before January 1, 1999 and worked for 15 years and more after retirement can file applications to have their old-age pension reassessed to the Local House of Social Insurance, IPN reports.

According to the National House of Social Insurance, the applicants must present the identity card and the employment record book. If they lost the employment record book, they can attach any other documents that confirm the length of service to the application.

The pensions of persons who worked fewer than 15 years after they retired will be reviewed next year. In the case of recipients of pensions set after January 1, 1999, the old-age pensions will be reexamined as of January 1, 2021 in stages, in accordance with the law and depending on the length of service after retirement.

The law to amend a number of legal acts so as to allow reassessing the old-age pensions of persons who worked after retirement took effect on January 1, 2019.
