Applications for e-permits for border areas twice higher in number

More than 35,000 applications for electronic permits to enter the border area have been registered since the launch of the e-Permit service until the end of 2023. The figure is practically twice higher than in 2022, the rise being of 46.6%, IPN reports, with reference to the Border Police.

There were registered over 750 applications for electronic permits for boats and issued about 4,900 hunting permits and around 3,270 temporary border area access permits.

According to the quoted source, the new service saves the applicants’ time and resources as it is free and can be accessed from any corner of the world, from any electronic device.

The Border Police noted that users of e-permits enjoy a number of advantages, including online access from any corner of the country or from abroad, availability from mobile devices, saving of time and resources by avoiding trips to Border Police subdivisions, reduction of waiting time and prior online informing about presence in the border area. The service is provided free of charge, without additional fees.

The system can be accessed through the official website of the Border Police www.border.gov.md under the heading “e-Permit”. For more information or assistance, citizens are encouraged to contact officers of the Program and Public Order Division on 022.264.562.

The e-Permit service was launched on February 21, 2023.
