The cases when companies’ applications to be refunded VAT were forgotten or hidden inside drawers at subdivisions of the State Main Tax Inspectorate will be excluded from now on. The State Tax Inspectorate announced the launch of a new electronic service called the Electronic Register of Applications and Decisions on VAT Refunding.
“The new product will enable to monitor online when the application is submitted, the examination stage and the decision whether the State Tax Inspectorate will carry out an inspection or the application will be accepted without additional verifications. This way, the fiscal administration procedures will be improved,” said the head of the State Main Tax Inspectorate Ion Prisacaru.
Vasile Coceban, administrator of the state-run company Fiscserfinform, said all the taxpayers will be able to use the new electronic service in a month. The service was implemented by specialists of the company at a cost of US$60,000.
Over the last two months, the State Main Tax Inspectorate launched the electronic services “Online ordering of primary standard document forms with special regime” and “Verification of receipts issued by currency exchange facilities”. It is tested the new service “E-invoice”.
“The implementation of information technology represents an important element in the reformation and modernization of the State Tax Service and the fiscal administration. We want to reduce the time and money spent by the taxpayers and to intensify communication between the tax services and the taxpayers,” added Ion Prisacaru.
There are now about 24,000 taxpayers in Moldova. A sum of 1.8 billion lei is to be collected from VAT as budget revenues in 2013. 700 million lei will be refunded as VAT to companies this year.
