Appellate court sends robber to prison
The Balti Court of Appeals sentenced a man going by the name Ruslan Grisman to 3 years' imprisonment on charges of robbery, following a plea by the prosecution to replace the judgment by a lower court, which had sentenced him to 2 years' probation, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The man was arrested for robbing a Turkish national of his cell phone and 2,500 lei in a Balti pub.
Grisman had been convicted of similar offenses before, but failed to learn any lesson and committed another robbery, which, according to prosecutors, describes him as a person prone to recidivate.
