Two of the three policemen who were arrested on corruption charges last week – a police officer and the head of Police Station No. 2 – will be held on remand at Penitentiary No. 13 for 30 days. The third policeman, an investigation officer, admitted his guilt and will stay under house arrest.
The Appeals Court decided to uphold the decision of the judge of inquiry after this was challenged by the police officers, IPN reports, quoting the National Anticorrosion Center.
The three policemen who were arrested on January 4 are suspected of asking for €2,000 from three men for dropping a case of robbery.
