The Chisinau City Appeals Court rejected as groundless the appeal lodged by members of the former Government led by Pavel Filip against the ordinance to take legal action over the usurpation of state power, IPN reports.

The Prosecutor General’s Office said that initially the members of the former Filip Government – Pavel Filip, Alexandru Jizdan, Nicolae Ciubuc and Monica Babuc – filed a lawsuit to the Ciocana Court, which rejected this as inadmissible. An appeal was later submitted to the Appeals Court.

Therefore, the investigation into the usurpation of state power during June 7-14, 2019 goes on to establish the legality of the actions taken in the period.
