The apostillation/authentication of diplomas issued by the education institutions of Transnistria was discussed in the meeting of the working groups on education, held at the office of the OSCE Mission in Tiraspol. The meeting involved the key negotiators to the Transnistrian conflict settlement talks of Chisinau and Tiraspol, Gheorghe Balan and Vitaly Ignatiev, IPN reports.

According to the Reintegration Office, the officials discussed the apostillation of the Transnistrian diplomas issued in the eastern districts of the country. They noted that the move will help increase educational mobility of the young people in the Transnistrian region and will offer them the possibility of continuing their studies at universities abroad. 

Gheorghe Balan and Vitaly Ignatiev also considered technical aspects of the raised issues and the recommendations of European experts, formulating their own proposals.

It was also agreed that the discussions on the issue wil continue in the next meeting of the working groups on education, which will have the same format.
