The Apiarian Fair organised by the National Apiarists Association of Moldova takes place in the Park of the Cathedral Church during August 17-19. The beekeepers from all over Moldova, including from the Transnistrian region are selling a wide range of apiarian products in the booths installed behind the Triumph Arch: honey, honey combs, propolis, pollen, beeswax. On average, a kilogramme of honey costs MDL 50, 100 g of honey combs – MDL 8, 100 g of propolis – MDL 100, 100 g of pollen – MDL 30. President of the National Apiarists Association of Moldova Stefan Condratiuc told Info-Prim Neo that “because of the drought, this year was very difficult for beekeepers and this fact will influence the price of honey, especially in winter”. The apiarian products are well-known for their effect in treating respiratory and heart diseases, allergies, intestinal diseases etc. .
