API launches media platform centering on integrity of public servants

The Association of Independent Press (API) has launched an updated version of the website www.moldovacurata.md based on the web page of the Civic Initiative for a Clean Parliament. This is an online media platform centering on the integrity of public functionaries and the work of the National Integrity Commission (CNI), IPN reports.

The new website, which was launched in a roundtable meeting involving members of the CNI, will provide informational support to media campaigns that are directly or indirectly related to the issue of integrity of persons with public posts. The editorial team will stage public events on the functioning of inspection bodies and efficiency of the public policies on the integrity of civil functionaries, will carry out journalistic investigations and will follow the CNI’s reaction to specific cases reported by the mass media.

Debates and other events organized by the editorial team will be broadcast on www.moldovacurata.md. The website will also contain comments and opinions, online polls conducted by the API. The visitors will be able to inform about cases of conflicts of interests and undeclared property involving persons holding public posts.

The website includes information and facts about the integrity of public servants, the national legislation and extracts from the European legislation in the field, links and relevant materials published in the mass media, journalistic investigations about the integrity of civil servants.

The project is implemented by the Association of Independent Press with financial support from the Good Governance Program of Soros Foundation Moldova.
