The dwellers of three apartments of a building situated on Mihai Eminescu St in Chisinau have been evacuated this morning after the roof of the house caught fire. Liliana Puscasu, spokeswoman for the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the fire started in a shed where the people kept belongings at about 4am. The flames extended to the roof of the apartment building. Four firefighting vehicles traveled to the scene. The firefighters fought to bring the blaze under control for about an hour. The fire destroyed about one third of the roof. Nobody was hurt. The cause of fire is yet to be determined. A fire happened at a plastic working company in Chisinau’s quarter Posta Veche on May 19 in the evening. There were destroyed 42 square meters of plastic waste. An investigation is under way.
