The water utility SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” (ACC) announced that it sustained damages of 5,400 lei as a result of the theft of 12 cast iron lids on the streets Sfantul Dumitru and 31 August in Vadul lui Voda town, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the company, a cast iron flap lid with a wear degree of about 5% costs 450 lei.

The police discovered the culprits. These are two young men who do not have a criminal record. The men admitted their guilt.

SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” said that it found a viable solution against thefts. It started to purchase lids with the logotype “ACC”.
