About 1,400 employees of the public utility SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” took part in training courses at the workplace, in accordance with the instructions on security and health at work. Another 40 employees this year will take part in refresher courses at the Professional Continuous Formation Institute of the Technical University of Moldova, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the water supplier.
The employees are trained within the Moldovan-Austrian project “Strengthening suppliers’ professional training capacities in the water supply and sewerage sector of Moldova”. About 500 employees attended courses at external training centers in 2013. The water supplier allocated 630,000 lei for their training.
Priority is given to training employees involved in the exploitation of dangerous industrial facilities such as the two cogeneration power stations and the seven heating stations, transformer stations, pumping stations, etc.
SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” checks the knowledge of specialists with higher education once in three years, while of those with vocational education annually.
