The Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office in the morning of March 5 started searches at the head office of the National Bank of Moldova. Contacted by IPN for details, Maria Vieru, spokeswoman for the Prosecutor General’s Office, said the measure is part of the investigations conducted into the bank fraud case.
Maria Vieru didn’t confirm the reports that persons have been arrested during the searches. The results of searches will be made public later.
