Anticorruption brochures for drivers
A number of drivers were stopped by traffic police officers at five important intersections in Chisinau on Wednesday morning. They received brochures and urged not to give bribe when they break the traffic rules.
Uliana Catan. PR inspector of the Traffic Police Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that traffic police officers and volunteers of two NGOs distributed leaflets at the following intersections: Decebal – Dacia, Dacia – Histo Boteev, Bucuresti – Ciuflea, Stefan cel Mare – Ismail, and Stefan cel Mare – Banulescu-Bodoni
There were printed 50,000 brochures that will be distributed all over the country during a week.
The drive is aimed at combating corruption among drivers and promoting intolerance of corruption. The traffic police carried out a similar campaign in March, when the drivers were provided with pamphlets about the traffic rules.
