The action brought by “Antena C” and “Euro TV Chisinau” against the Chisinau Municipal Council and former mayor Vasile Ursu was postponed again. This time the reason was the fact that the new owner of Antena C Dumitru Liuticov did not come at the lawsuit, neither did his representative, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the lawyer representing the 37 staffers of Antena C who started proceedings, Maria Orlov, Liticov, as well as his representatives ignored the warrant of the court, although the head of the Legal Assistance Department within CMC Ghenadie Gluscenco called the new owner, and announced him that he is impeding the settlement of the case through his actions. The court decided to postpone the examination until February 20. The journalist of Antena C Viorica Mija told Info-Prim Neo that because of the harsh restrictions imposed by the new administration of the station only 8 staffers of those who entered proceedings were present in the courtroom. Viorica Mija says that the new administrator Veaceslav Satnic verifies several times a day if the employees are at work. More, they are forced to stay 8 hours at the work without doing anything. The cited source says that the few colleagues who gave up to protecting their rights in court intend to join staffers who brought the legal action against the CMC and former mayor Vasile Ursu. 37 employees of Antena C and Euro TV Chisinau want to annul the decision on the sell of the media institutions and those of the interim mayor on the appointment of the new administrators. The claim asks to oblige CMC and the interim mayor to resume the proper conditions for the work of the station; to repair the moral damages set at MDL 100 thousand for each claimant. The employees of Antena C say that the money will be used for the development of the stations.
