The municipal radio station Antena C might be left without transmission at the beginning of the next year if it does not manage to conclude a broadcasting contract with “Radiocomunicatii” State Enterprise. The interim director of the radio station Veaceslav Satnic told Info-Prim Neo that “Antena C” can not conclude the contract because Victor Badulescu, the general director of the enterprise says that this fact must be approved by the Ministry of Informational Development. In case the contract will not be signed, the transmission will be interrupted on the New Year’s night (31 December- January 1). Badulescu told Info-Prim Neo that “there are certain procedures concerning the way the contract must be signed, and they must be respected. If they will be fulfilled, the contract will be signed”. Badulescu failed to specify what procedures the radio station has violated. “Antena C” went off the air on December 16, and is operating at present on a landline basis. “Radiocomunicatii” claimed a technical failure of a device that has to be transported to Israel. Later, sources from “Antena C” said that persons in charge at the enterprise assured that the broadcasting will be resumed within 10 days.
