“Antena C” Goes Off the Air
The municipal radio station “Antena C” went off the air on Saturday about 2:50 pm, in the middle of a talk-show in which the participants were discussing the issue of the station’s reorganization.
Ecaterina Stratan, deputy director of “Antena C”, told Info-Prim Neo that the employees of the station reached by phone the State Enterprise “Radio Communications”. They were told that the enterprise does not receive the signal from the radio. The engineers at “Antena C” denied this information. Later, Victor Badulescu, director of “Radio Communications”, blamed technical difficulties on the issue.
According to Ecaterina Stratan, the station went off because of political reasons, rather than technical, this being an attempt to close down the station for good.
Ghenadie Zavianov, employee at “Radio Communications” told Info-Prim Neo that the problem is of technical nature, though failing to specify when “Antena C” will come back on.
