Antena C back on the air

The radio station Antena C resumed airing at full power on Tuesday, January 23, more than one month after the broadcasting signal was disrupted. Veaceslav Satnic, interim manager of the station told Info-Prim Neo that the contract was signed with “Radiocomunicatii” SE at the National Agency for Public Acquisitions yesterday, and today, at 6.00 am, Antena C resumed its activity on all its frequencies. Satnic says that there are still certain problems regarding the broadcasting to Causeni and Anenii Noi raions, but these are related to technical adjustments within the radio station. Satnic stated that the station has already received calls from radio listeners from Tiraspol, Chisinau, Rezina, and Straseni. He mentioned that the broadcasting programme is the same as it was last year. Antena C radio station stopped broadcasting on December 16, as Radiocomunicatii SE alleged a technical failure, which was to be removed within 10 days. After this deadline the station was still off the air, and as from January 1, the old contract concluded between the two institutions expired. A new contract was not signed because Radiocomunicatii enterprise “waited” for the Information Development Ministry’s acceptance. On January 22, Chisinau Municipal Council decided to auction off the radio station for about 1 million lei to the citizen Dumitru Liuticov.
