ANTA director warned publicly

Prime Minister Pavel Filip warned the director of the National Agency of Road Transport (ANTA) that the software e-Authorization should become functional as soon as possible, IPN reports.

“Illegalities were committed in the distribution of the so-called CEMT permits. We know how much the carriers paid for these authorizations. The software, the computer cannot take bribe. Evidently, a lot of resistance is witnessed in the system. I know that this software that was to be put into operation on September 1 does not yet work. Mister Minister Gaburici, I ask you to personally monitor the situation and I publicly transmit a message to the director of ANTA Vsevolod Bocșanean: if this software does not become functional as planned, this will be his last day at work,” stated Pavel Filip.

Several changes to the Code of Road Transport took effect on September 1. These refer to the issuing of transport authorizations electronically. Applications will be accepted by the end of October, while the permits will be distributed by December 15.
