The Supreme Court of Justice has pronounced two irreversible decisions on actions taken by Moldovagaz against the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a press release from ANRE, the Supreme Court rejected as unfounded Moldovagaz's appeal, thus upholding the decision of the appellate court, against ANRE's refusal to issue the company with a license that would enable it to supply gas at unregulated tariffs. ANRE explains that such a license would allow Moldovagaz to re-sell gas to other suppliers at prices which wouldn't be regulated by ANRE. This would invariably lead to higher rates, claims the Agency. The Supreme Court also rejected as unfounded the complaints of twelve Moldovagaz subsidiaries requesting the annulment of sanctions imposed on them by ANRE in July 2011 for breaches of laws and license terms.
