ANRE says adoption of new methodology for calculating gas charges is a success
The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) describes the adoption of the new methodology for calculating and approving natural gas charges as a success as it creates equal working conditions for the participants in the natural gas market, the Agency says in a communique, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
Among the major documents adopted by the ANRE in 2009 were the regulations concerning the origin guarantees of the electric power produced from renewable energy resources and biofuel, the methodology for fixing and approving the tariffs on electric power produced from renewable energy resources and biofuel. These documents were formulated with the support of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.
The ANRE's priorities for 2010 include the revision and adjustment of the documents to the new law on electric power and natural gas, adoption of the new methodology for fixing and approving the heat charges for end-users and the charges for power transportation services, approval of the regulations concerning the procedures and rules of adjusting the tariffs to the energy services regulated by the ANRE.
In 2009, the Agency continued to adjust the regulations to the EU standards and ensure the observance of the principles of efficiency, continuity and feasibility of the power and gas supply and of the rights of the energy consumers by the operators.
Every year since 2000, the ANRE presents a report for the previous year on the work done and the monitoring of the work of the participants in the markets from the regulated areas.
