ANRE presents Draft Regulation on gas distribution

The gas distribution and transport network operators will compensate 50% of the consumers’ bills value if certain physic-chemical characteristics are affected during delivery. This is one of the amendments made to the Regulation on the quality standards of gas provision services, which is proposed for public debates, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Regulation, the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) assumes the right to reduce the delivery tariffs by 5%, and establish individual compensations for consumers who received improper services. Other stipulations refer to the provider’s obligation of announcing the consumers about the planned interruptions in delivery 3 days in advance. If an interruption is longer than 24h and the provider foresees an even longer period, but doesn’t notify the consumers, then it has to pay 20 lei for residential and 200 for non-residential consumers, upon their request, per each hour exceeding the estimated intermission period. The new Draft Regulation obligates gas operators to keep track of all the requests, intimations and solicitations regarding the quality standards of the providers’ services. These reports should be annually submitted to ANRE. The Draft Regulation will be subjected to public debates until the end of November, in order to be improved.
