ANRE launches campaign to inform power and gas consumers

The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) is conducting a campaign aimed at informing the consumer protection associations about the norms applied in the relations and disputes between electric power and natural gas suppliers and consumers, the Agency says in a communiqué quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
According to the ANRE director Anatolii Burlacov, the Agency wants that all the consumers know their rights and how to protect them when the suppliers violate them.
The information campaign includes a number of seminars that will be held during the next 3-4 months. The campaign is carried out in accordance with the cooperation agreement signed by the ANRE and consumer protection associations at the start of 2008. The agreement envisions the discussion of the draft regulations that concern the consumer interests, carrying out of joint activities to inform the consumers and other actions of common interest.
