The National Energy Regulatory Agency ANRE has approved a more than double provisional rise in the rate of electricity supplied by Termoelectrica – from 1.16 to 2.37 lei/kWh. At the same time, Termoelectrica’s heating supply has got by nearly 60% more expensive, increasing from 1,122 to 1,772 lei/Gcal, VAT excluded.
This comes in response to Termoelectrica’s request for a retroactive increase in rates, as of November 1, given that the gas it burns to generate power and heat has itself increased by 115.3 %.
ANRE also voted to increase CET-Nord electricity and heating supply rates from 1.62 to 2.84 lei/kWh, and from 1,220 to 1,742 lei/Gcal (VAT excluded), respectively.
Heating supply rates were also increased for Apă-Canal Chișinău, Termogaz-Bălți, Comgaz-Plus, the Comrat heating utility, and Servicii Comunale Glodeni.
