ANRCETI interested in ANCOM experience

A delegation from the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communication and Information Technology (ANRCETI) will be on a working visit to Romania during April 15-16 to exchange experience concerning regulatory activity in the field of electronic communication. The Moldovan delegation will get familiarized with the experience of the Romanian Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (ANCOM) in implementing European regulatory standards in the field and will discuss with the Romanian authorities the opportunity of a cooperation agreement, following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of Moldova and the Romania on cooperation in the field of communication and information technology. Moldova has a similar agreement signed by ANRCETI in 2006 with the Bulgarian Communications Regulatory Commission. A series of meetings will take place in Bucharest with ANCOM officials to learn from Romania's experience how to implement portability of numbers, use geographic and non-geographic phone numbers for the IP telephony, establish performance indicators in mobile telephony and digital TV, etc. Other issues of interest for the ANRCETI delegation will be the pricing policies of the public operators, access of operators to the physical infrastructure, etc.
