The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) has discovered another two types of fixed-line and mobile voice call termination markets, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Agency. The Agency's Board identified three mobile voice call termination markets and 17 fixed-line voice call termination markets. They belong to operating fixed-line and mobile phone carriers. The decisions were taken after carrying out market analyses within the assistance project supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The analyses revealed the absence of competition on these markets and the presence of significant barriers hindering new companies from entering them. They also showed the law on competition protection cannot efficiently remove these deficiencies. The Agency is now thoroughly analyzing the mentioned markets to determine the carriers that have a dominant position on them and impose special obligations on them in order to develop competition.
