A new Chisinau couple with triples asks for an apartment. At Monday’s meeting of the Chisinau City Hall, Mihai Moldovan, head of the Health Division, said that the three sisters were born on November 16. The girls are healthy, but the family lives in a room with an aunt and they are in need of better living conditions. Chisinau Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca, who joked about the rumours that the families where there will be born triplets will receive apartments in Chisinau from the City Hall, said that he was invited to see the girls the next day after they were born, but he did not manage yet. Dorin Chirtoaca welcomed the birth of the children, saying that this is a joy for the municipality. But he stressed that objective criteria should be used when taking decisions regarding the improvement of the living conditions of families with many children. Chirtoaca says that the local authorities will have to investigate each case, taking into consideration the financial situation of every family apart. Otherwise, the City Hall will have to deal with more and more applications and it will not be able to cope with such a situation. The Belitei couple and their three boys born on August 21 this year received an apartment from the City Hall and 10,000 lei in financial assistance.
