Annunciation Church: Discrimination is when you tell a bad person that he is good

Priests of the Annunciation Church say it is discrimination to tell a bad person that he is good and his actions are right. According to priest Vasile Filat, Moldovan society faces such discrimination when some try to promote the untraditional sexual orientation into the country’s legislation, Info-Prim Neo reports. “There are several cases when the human rights are violated because the persons stated their opinion on homosexuality. Blogger Vitalie Marian had to stage a mute protest as the court banned him from speaking about sexual orientation after he was sued by the Information and Documentation Center “GenderDoc-M”. A portal lost a case, being condemned for certain comments written on its communication platform. Thus, the right to freedom of expression is being violated in Moldova,” the priest said in a news conference. He also said that the authorities make a mistake when they make effort to adopt the Antidiscrimination Law with the syntagm ‘sexual orientation’, which aroused controversy. “The authorities argue that they want to pass this law on the recommendation of the European Union. But this is not right. We cannot allow somebody to decide our fate,” said Vasile Filat. The priest stated that some try to present sexual perversion as diversity. “Our Constitution protects enough the people who resort to sexual perversion. They themselves admit that the Moldovan legislation is lenient. Nobody interferes in their intimate life, but such things should not be revealed,” said Vasile Filat. According to him, if the Antidiscrimination Law is adopted in the proposed form, it will give more freedom to the persons who are in favor of homosexuality. “They already sue us. The Christians do not sue them, while one of the websites that supports the homosexuals - curaj.net – contains many attacks on the Church and the family. In other states that passed such a law, persons who did not agree with this sin were fired. Our education system cannot protect our children. Instead of being taught tolerance, they may be taught shameful practices,” said Vasile Filat. The Baptist church Annunciation is against the court’s decision to prohibit blogger Vitalie Marian from speaking about homosexuality, and against the conviction of the portal privesc.eu for not moderating the comments that incited hatred and discrimination according to sexual orientation criteria.
