“Anim'est” Festival to be held in Moldova for first time
For the first time, Chisinau will host the International Animation Film Festival “Anim'est”. More than 50 short and full-length motion pictures made in Romania, Moldova and other countries will be screened at the Odeon Movie Theater, Info-Prim Neo reports.
”The festival will be opened by the Romanian-Polish production “Crulic – the Road to Beyond”. Producers Dan Panaitescu and Dragos Stefan will attend the screening. After the showing, they will have a session of questions-answers and explain why the film is so important,” said Toma Peiu, PR manager of the festival.
The film “Crulic – the Road to Beyond” took part in a number of festivals and has recently won two prizes at a very large festival in Warsaw. Early in October, it opened the Festival “Anim'est” in Bucharest.
”For us, it is a challenge to see how the public in Chisinau will react. The signals so far have been positive. We hope that the public will react well as the program we prepared and the invitees we will bring to Chisinau are indeed very good,” said Toma Peiu.
The festival will take place between November 3 and 6.
