The shots needed for revaccinating the animals haven’t been brought to Moldova. According to the press service of the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA), from spring the authority has been in litigation with the company that won the tender contest and pledged to purchase the necessary doses of vaccine.
As many as 250,000 anthrax shots for cattle, 1 million shots for sheep and goats and 50,000 shots for horses are needed overall. There are practically no rabies vaccines and about 700,000 shots are necessary.
The third hearing in the case started against SRL Vetzooagro will take place at the Chisinau Court of Appeals on November 4. According to ANSA, the company was to buy shots to the value of 6.7 million lei, but now it asks for over 11 million lei.
